Under the IPSO Editors’ Code of Practice journalists have a duty to protect sources, but also to endeavor that the sources we use are reliable and informed and the information is obtained without duress.
We try to keep unnamed sources to a minimum, we rely on the integrity of each journalists professionalism if a source must remain anonymous.
