‘Unleashed demons’ – Brexit a political phenomenon

On June 23rd 2016 David Cameron “ unleashed demons of which he knew not” and the UK stepped off the precipice into unknown territory, but now after more than three years we still have not come to a conclusion or a confirmation that Brexit will ever finalize in Britain. 

Unleashing demons is the fear that David Cameron had in opening the Pandora’s box to placate the euro-sceptics in his own party.

However, David Cameron could not have predicted the cartoonesque civil war that now engulfs the tory party, with former chancellor Philip Hammond playing Batman to Boris’ Johnson’s Joker.

The UK has had three whole years of this political rollercoaster involving two Prime Ministers, one dropping out after unsuccessfully attempting to deliver her withdrawal agreement and the other playing too safe and not facing the big picture and the problems of what we are facing.

Look at the big picture of Brexit, what positive benefit will it have for the UK.

Will it bring unquestionable economic success to the nation or grant us more sovereignty and bring laws back into our own hands?

So, let us be logical and see passed the propaganda or downright lies and misinformation.

While I do understand that there are probable truths to some statements, but by in large there are likely more deceits than truth to these things.

As Tory MP Philip Lee told LBC’s Eddie Mair what “tipped him over the edge” to cross the commons to the join the Liberal Democrats was Jacob Rees-Mogg’s propensity for BS (lies).

Referring to Mr Rees-Mogg, Mr Lee said: “You can say it in a posh voice but if it’s BS, It’s BS.”

What I am trying to articulate is the question of what would Brexit actually do for us and would leaving the EU be a reasonable option…

Why did we start Brexit and who does it really benefit?

Nevertheless, what makes it laughable is the fact that we cannot pull the damn thing off and the fact that the date of actually exiting the EU may still be talked about in five or even in ten years later.
