A WORMHOLE could allow voyagers to traverse the millions of light years of space in the blink of an eye, that is the theory, but now a recent scientific paper has outlined a step-by-step guide on how to build one.
In the paper, entitled ‘Traversable wormholes in four dimensions’, Princeton Physicists Juan Maldacena , Alexey Milekhin and Fedor Popov declared: “We have constructed a traversable wormhole solution in four dimensions.”
They added: “This would be achieved by placing a large magnetic charge close to extremal black holes.”
Rotating Black Hole
To stabilize the mouths of the wormhole we must add, “rotation so that they can be kept apart, at least for a while until the electromagnetic radiation causes them to lose energy and eventually merge with each other.”
The resulting wormhole “can be viewed as an entangled state of two black holes.”
Usually it is theorised that even a single photon passing through a wormhole results in a reaction that tears the wormhole apart.
Now, the paper suggests that adding negative mass can counteract the destabilizing effects of normal matter entering the wormhole, making it traversable.
The theory describes the need to connect a black hole with a white hole in a different region of space.
White Holes
Nothing can escape a black hole, not even light, and the reverse of this is that nothing can enter an anti black hole, or a white hole.
A wormhole is when a black hole and a white hole join together.
To enter a black hole on its own would mean being crushed into oblivion, but with a wormhole it may be possible to travel through and exit out the other side and into a completely remote region of the universe.
But, wormholes are catastrophically unstable.
Even a single photon would collapse the wormhole in an instant.
The paper states that a black hole carrying an electric charge is needed to form the long tunnel that reaches the white hole at the opposite end.

A charged black hole does not have a normal point-like singularity; instead that singularity is stretched and distorted, to form a bridge to the oppositely charged black hole, thus forming the tunnel between the two points in normal space.
Magnetic Fields
The paper describes a, “traversable wormhole threaded by magnetic fields that join very distant points in space.”
The physicists said: “It is a solution of an Einstein Maxwell theory plus charged massless fermions.
“The fermions give rise to a negative Casimir-like energy, which makes the wormhole possible.
“It is a long wormhole that does not lead to causality violations in the ambient space.”
